Marlon Roosblad
Marlon Roosblad was born in Amsterdam, Netherlands on June 24, 1968, where he grew up. He has a Master’s degree in Dutch Law from the VU University and started his professional career as a lawyer in 1994 in Amsterdam, within the offices of Aalmoes & Roosblad. His experience covers corporate and labor law. In 1998 he moved to Suriname were he worked for ABN AMRO Bank Suriname in several positions. As Manager Special Credits/Corporate legal Affairs he was a member of the Credit Committee. Before starting as partner at Corporate Financial Solutions in Surinam he was working as Senior Relationship Manager Corporate Banking for ABN AMRO Bank N.V. and the Royal Bank of Trinidad & Tobago. Marlon was involved in structuring and arranging equity and debt for large corporations and multinationals.
Marlon is chairman of a foundation, which is operating a school for handicapped children. After playing American Football at the highest level in Europe and winning two European Championship, Marlon is still very active in sports and plays basketball and tennis. He lives in Surinam, is married and has a daughter and a son. |
